Practically taught methods
- Light sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM) to observe 3D development and biomolecular mobility inside living biological objects
- Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) to detect molecular proximity, applied to nuclear proteins with various modalities (spectral based and acceptor photobleaching) implemented on confocal microscope
- Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) to measure molecular mobility and binding, applied to transcription factors diffusing in the nucleus and binding to chromatin within the context of regulatory complexes
- Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) to study the mobility of proteins in living cells
- Total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (TIRF) to measure of protein and enzyme interaction dynamics and mechanisms
