Instrument description:	Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Elite mass spectrometer combines dual-pressure linear ion trap (Velos Pro) with a high-field Orbitrap™ mass analyzer. The high-field Orbitrap mass analyzer geometry and advanced signal processing technologies enable resolution of >240,000 at 400 m/z. The instrument is used mainly for analysis of samples of high complexity in qualitative and quantitative manner including characterization of post-translational modifications like phosphorylation and acetylation. It enables different fragmentation techniques including collision induced dissociation (CID), higher-energy collisional dissociation (HCD) and electron transfer dissociation (ETD) that can be sequentially combined.
