To study human disease scientists use very diverse model systems. In the past basic discoveries relevant to human health have been obtained from model systems as diverse as bacteria, viruses, yeast, worms and plants.
In this workshop we will give young scientists an overview over diverse model systems in biology and biochemistry, which are relevant to study human disease.
Questions addressed are: How to analyze the action of drugs, how viruses escape the immune system and how mice are used to study human disease.
